Merlin Wood is the final resting place for my husband George Taylor who died in 2017. he always wanted to return to his beloved Northumberland and this truly is a peaceful, comforting setting in a well maintained and managed burial site. Thank you Scott and Laura for all you do to make this such a special place.

The woodlands are so lovely. I love the engraved slate memorials and that some families had memorial benches so that they could sit and share time with love ones who had passed.

Beautiful, peaceful place. Excellently managed by Scott and Laura.

This place is a true woodland burial site. Absolute peace and tranquility. It’s a pleasure to watch the lambs, goldfinches, swallows and other wildlife. Other sites, which invariably are incorporated within cemeteries don’t come close.

I felt supported and cared for by Scott and Laura during my husband’s last days. The comfort and reassurance given to both of us strengthened us and helped us carry on. My husband was laid beautifully to rest in the peaceful Clarefield Meadow which I now am now able to visit and find peace

Having lost our mum at the beginning of the pandemic, her funeral service was much less of a send off than she deserved - however the interring of her ashes at Northumbrian Woodland Burial made up for this - Scott helped us select the perfect oak tree for my mum and assisted us through the preparation process; Laura kept in touch throughout.

On the day we gathered and spent time remembering her; laughing and crying, leaving flowers and this time it included all who couldn’t be at her funeral due to the travel restrictions and limited numbers.

Nothing was a problem throughout! Since then the woodland and mums tree has been well cared for… I love visiting and wandering through the grounds.

When searching for a place to lay our Dad/Husband’s ashes to rest - we were recommended Northumbrian Woodland Burials and we are so glad. We have found the journey of saying goodbye extremely peaceful considering.
Scott and Laura have been helpful, accommodating and thoughtful from the start. Throughout the pandemic, they kindly waited for the right time for us to have a private family memorial.
The personal touches and options for the plaque and additional wooden bench were something we really liked when deciding on a fitting tribute.
Being relatively new to the area, we had no past family ties and were looking for somewhere that we would feel comfortable visiting with family and friends for years to come. We have already spent much needed time together as a family in Merlin Woods. It is so lovely to be able to walk the dogs, watch the planes go by and share special days together as we remember and reminisce. The grandchildren have enjoyed painting stones, planting bulbs, sharing picnics and having birthday cakes on our handcrafted memorial bench by ‘Pops’ Tree.’
